DECEMBER 8, 2017

Predictronics Chief Technology Officer David Siegel will give an industrial big data tutorial Dec. 12 at the 2017 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Conference on Big Data in Boston.

The IEEE conference takes place Dec. 12 – 14 and is recognized as a top-tier event in the industry, serving as a leading forum for disseminating the latest research in big data development.

The tutorial, which starts at 4:25 p.m. will highlight the differences between industrial big data and other big data applications, including data structure, quality, volume and balance of data classes.

It will then focus on analysis methodologies for predictive monitoring, including data quality checks, feature engineering, health index and anomaly detection algorithms, diagnosis and prognostic methods.

Predictronics Co-Founder Dr. Jay Lee, University of Cincinnati post-doctoral fellow Hossein Davari and National and Institute of Standards and Technology Project Leader Brian Weiss collaborated with Dr. Siegel on the tutorial.
